Chukwuka Monye is a strategist and consumer intelligence expert. His experience covers various functions in several industries including financial services, telecoms, media, entertainment, retail and the public sector. He has strong capabilities in formulating corporate and marketing strategies as well as providing solutions using technology and innovation. He is passionate about the development of the African continent and this led him to establish Ciuci Consulting with two objectives – to provide advice to businesses in Africa and to develop locally based human capacity amidst a challenging educational and economic environment.
Chukwuka has led several Ciuci teams through the development of social impact initiatives aimed at taking the capacity building focus to corporate Nigeria and the society at large in sectors such as agriculture and healthcare on a pro bono basis as a sign of its commitment to its ideals. A key part of the company’s philosophy, social impact, continues to expand rapidly as seen by the scope and volume of the projects it has undertaken since its inception. Ciuci Consulting was recently given the globally recognized International Business Award in Spain for its contribution to economic and social impact in Nigeria.
His passion for positive change within the continent, also led him to establish iQube- a knowledge-sharing platform. His goal is to improve the level of data available for decision-making in the business world by disseminating information through an online platform as well as sharing information through an annual conference where industry leaders discuss relevant topics.
He started his career in the United States, where he worked as an analyst at Citigroup’s private client business in Florida, before becoming the branch manager of a credit union. He has a BA in Business Management from Warner University, Florida where he graduated with Honors and was also the first black student union president. He received several awards including “Who’s Who” in American Universities and Colleges’ and the United States Achievement Academy Award given to top students in the country. He has attended management programmes at Harvard Business School and INSEAD.
He is also a motivational speaker and has spoken at various business and youth conferences around the world especially as it concerns the youth, capacity development, education and entrepreneurship. He is a frequent guest on TV programs that are aimed at discussing solutions to different challenges in the society. He has been featured on CNBC Africa and Channels Television and many of his published materials have been featured in Nigerian newspapers as well as on CBS, NBC and Huffington Post.
Roland has 25 years of experience in software engineering and project management at significant technology and telecommunications companies. He has expertise in large-scale software development (operating systems and programming environments), telecommunications protocols, standards development, and the recruitment and management of engineering teams. His experience includes large technology companies (MAI, Data General, AT&T) and classic Silicon Valley startups (Forethought, Go and Eo). He also spent almost four years as CTO for CLB Associates, a leading Silicon Valley strategic advisory and investment-banking firm.
Roland was the original developer of vCard, the “electronic business card” exchange format. He is the author of several computer textbooks, and was the prime contractor for the development of Internet services on several Pacific Island nations, including Micronesia and Guam. He uses his exceptional technical and strategic skills to advise clients, to assess the technological advantages and competitive landscape of intellectual property, and to review the scope of proposed alliances, partnerships and joint ventures. Beneath the technical brilliance, Roland is an artist at heart, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree with Distinction from the California College of Arts and Crafts.
With over 17 years of international experience in brand, marketing and business development, Steven Posner currently works as an Associate Consultant at Ciuci Consulting. Steven’s work as a consultant has included numerous clients including, Sony, UK, Sol Melia (leading Spanish Hotel Chain), Deutsche Bank, Towers Perrin, Contax (leading business development advisory firm in the Gulf region), Suburban Telecom (leading diversified telecommunications company in West Africa, Reliance (India), Harrah’s (USA), Carreker (leading Revenue Enhancement firm for Retail banking) and IE (leading business school in Madrid).
Steven is an Associate Professor in brand and marketing in Madrid’s Instituto de Empresa Business School. Steven is a native of Colombia, has a BA in European History from Brown University and attended Citicorp’s Institute for Global Finance
